DIY Monogrammed Christmas Stockings

Hey Friends !

I trust that everyone is gearing up for Thanksgiving and prepping your meals.

I am in charge of desserts this year so it smells amazing in our house ! I just have to try not to eat the cakes before Thursday LOL !! I wanted to share with you part of my Christmas mantle this year.

DIY Monogrammed Christmas Stockings

I decided that I wanted to change my theme this year and make a lot of my décor as usual. My theme this year I wanted to be ” Rustic Glam “. Using items like textured wood, burlap and buffalo check, but also still using glitter and shiny things as well… See Rustic Glam !!

I also had the amazing opportunity to work with Silhouette America. The majority of my décor has been DIY and I was able to make the majority of my items using my Silhouette Cameo .

I will have the rest of my living room décor up by Friday. Here is a sneak peek !

I wanted to give you quick tutorial on how to make my monogrammed Christmas Stockings. Here is a list of items you’ll need:

DIY Monogrammed Christmas Stockings

The first thing I did was design my monogram in the Silhouette design software. When working with heat transfer vinyl (HTV). You must remember to flip your text HORIZONTALLY PLEASE ! You can do this by just right clicking on your image and selecting Flip Horizontally from the menu selection.

Next I turned on my machine and placed my vinyl to line up with the arrows at the base of the machine. When using heat transfer vinyl there is no need to use your cutting mat for this. Just press the load media button and watch the machine feed itself !

Next, adjust your cut settings and be sure to choose the correct type of material you are cutting. Be sure to click your material choice twice and the machine will give you the correct setting your blade should be on.

Now you’re ready to print and watch your machine do all the work ! Once your machine is finished cutting, peel away the access, take your iron on to your stocking and then iron it on ! Be sure you are using a hard surface to iron on your vinyl. It makes it a lot easier .

And there you have ! A custom designed stocking that you can be so proud of because YOU made it !
