Happy 1st day of December friends !

If you follow me on Instagram, I talked about this being the best month of the year ! Not only is it the month of Christmas, but its  the month of my birthday !! WHOOO HOOO !!! Its my plan to celebrate everyday until then !

Speaking of the month of December, It’s also the month where you send out those Christmas cards. Christmas cards have come such a long way from the days of the boxed set of cards you can get in the store. There are online resources that allow you to upload your family’s photo and design the type of card that you’d like. You really don’t even need to leave the house.

We decided to go with Minted this year. I LOVE the simple and clean designs that Minted offers.

This year we wanted to keep things light, simple and fun ! So we decided to do something a little different. Instead of doing a big photo-shoot we just went to an open field and took our own photos. I love to get a professional photographer, but sometimes it’s not always feasible. We have very busy schedules and getting everyone together to schedule a big photo session can be a lot. We’d rather spend that time having family time. We also have a pretty darn good camera, so we don’t mind taking our own photo’s sometimes and its fun for everyone !

We decided to go with a card that could allow everyone’s true personality to shine through. So we chose this card that reads ” Oh What Fun ” and boy did we have fun !

All of them !!!

So I wanted to showcase that fun attribute in this Christmas card. I also wanted others to see how much of a fun-loving, but totally unconventional and non-traditional family we really are… totally !

As I mentioned before, I love that the cards by Minted are so customizable. So I was able to change the foil on the card to silver and the photos to black and white tone. I love the way they turned out !

They have so many options, I’m sure you’ll be able to find one that suits your family’s needs. Here is a sample of the card we used.
