Happy Saturday Friends !!

I am fighting so hard to hold onto Summer and this morning I got hit with the cold all of a sudden !!

Can I be honest for just one second? This has been a rough week… for me personally (GEESH!!!!) and to see ALL the devastation that has taken place in Texas, it has just been too much !! My heart, thoughts, prayers and a few donations have gone out for the Texas citizens. I wish I could do more, but I know what’s been done by myself and countless others is a big deal. My prayers are still with all the Texans. 

I thought that we could use a little happy and some brightness ! I know that I definitely did ! I know that it’s Labor Day weekend, but I wanted to “end”Summer with bright colors LOL!!

And let me say this, I do not believe that Labor Day is the unofficial end of Summer. Fall does not begin until September 22nd !! I will be decorating for Fall a week or so before and not a minute sooner LOL !!

Back to the party, as you may know, palm leaves have been a very big trend and the party scene is no different. I found the cutest wrapping paper at HomeGoods and I figured I could turn them into placemats.

So that’s what I did. I thought it was a perfect piece to spin this entire tablescape from. 

Table Settings

So of course I found the cutest dinner and dessert palm plates. You already know I love gold, so this was the perfect pair ! Paper party plates have come such a long way and I am here for all the beautiful designs and styles!

Everything on this table can be thrown away. You may want to keep the cute cups talking about Sweet Tea !! I am from the South and this statement is SO true !! We love our sweet tea with lemon of course !! 

Floral Arrangements

I am perfecting my art of floral arranging !! I knew that I wanted something with a pop of color and when I saw these flowers at the market, I knew they would be perfect !! 

Refreshments

This one is super simple. Of course some sweet tea was in order. I also made some strawberry and cream shortcakes using store-bought phyllo cups ! So stinking good ! 

I hope this little bit of happy brought you some happy too, if you were in need of it. 

I know that it can’t erase all the bad that is taking place, but I hope that the pretty can lift your spirits a little.
