Summer Popsicles!

Well Hello Friends !

I have missed you guys something terrible!! We have had so many good changes going on that it kinda took over me blogging, but I am back ! For one thing, we moved into a brand new home! Well new to us anyways!!  We are just over the moon excited ! I will share more about the journey a tad later. Another major change was that our son graduated from high school and is preparing to go to college ( cue ALL the tears !! ) !! We still have a hard time believing that !! Yes so lots of changes, but all good !!

Anywho, speaking of change, how about the weather that we are having !?! I mean is it hot where you are the way it is here? I am in the south, so it’s just super hot here ! So with it being Summer and the kids being out of school, the girls and I are always looking for the perfect way to cool down. Last year, we made watermelon popsicles and fruit flavored popsicles and we loved them, but we ran into a little issue. While the popsicles were good and they were beautiful, they weren’t all the way the correct shape of the mold. I believe it was because we put the fruit in first and then poured the liquid. The girls begged to differ ( of course ). So we had a little small contest… My juice first then fruit and their fruit first then juice. Needless to say, MOM WAS RIGHT !! Ha!!! That is so sad I know !!! Putting the juice in first and then adding the fruit caused the popsicles to turn out better.

Here are the ingredients that we used…

Any type of fruit you’d like. We used strawberries, blueberries, lemons and limes

Any type of juice. We used Simply Lemonade Mango Lemonade

Summer Popsicles

Our popsicle mold that we have, we ordered from Amazon. The directions are simple. Fill the molds about 3/4 of the way, then place some of the fruit of your choice in the mold, place the metal cover on top and place your popsicles in the allotted holes and then place in the freezer.

There you have it !! Kid and adult friendly popsicles! We don’t drink, but feel free to do an “adult” version of these popsicles as well ! I hope you enjoyed this little refreshing Summer DIY of ours ! Making popsicles is one of our favorite Summer activities… Stay tuned for more Summer entertaining tips and ideas!

What are some of your favorite Summer activities to do with your kids?
