#SheDoesWellness Challenge

Happy Thursday Friends!

So listen, if you follow me on Instagram, then I’m sure you’ve heard about the wellness challenge I issued the other day. I was so glad to hear that so many of you were interested.

Y’all know I’m really big on believing in yourself and accomplishing your goals whatever they may be. Don’t believe me, check out these post here and here!

Back to the challenge. I wanted to give you some guidance to help you get started on your wellness journey.

First let me start off by saying wellness is about more than just fitness. For some, fitness may be their wellness goal, but it’s definitely not the only one. I had to put that out there so that the wellness police will not try and come for me!

Like I said, there are several different aspects of wellness. I found this infographic on Pinterest that explains it beautifully.

The Wellness Challenge

The purpose of the challenge is to partner with like-minded people to help hold you accountable and support you while achieving your goals. I find that when I put things out on the internet, I’m more likely to accomplish it because you have a host of people holding you accountable.

So here’s the gist of it. Find one of the wellness categories and choose a goal you’d like to work on for the next four weeks. We’re going to work on our wellness goals together! The challenge will run from Monday October 7th – Monday November 4th.

On Instagram, we’ll use the hashtag #SheDoesWellness to follow each other’s progress. You can post however you’d like. Be it Instagram stories or an actual post, it’s totally up to you. At the end of the challenge, we’ll post our goal we actually accomplished and how we feel after achieving that goal.

Sound good?!?

Here’s a few other things you can do to get you started.

Make a plan.

I promise this isn’t a ploy to get you on the planner train, even though you know my stance! Seriously, if you’re going to accomplish these awesome goals (and you will!) you’re going to need a plan. First you need to decide what your goal(s) will be. Next, you need to break that goal down into small and actionable steps so that it can actually be achievable and doesn’t seem too daunting.

Make a vision board

Again, you all know I love vision boards run deep. I would suggest making a board on Pinterest or downloading some photos of what your goal looks like for you and then make a collage. You can either print it out or keep it on your phone. I honestly do both, so that it will always be in front of me. It really helps to take a look at your vision board and see where you want to be. Especially if things start to get mundane or hard.

Track your progress

One of the best ways to see your progress is to track or record it. I’m going to use one of my planners to track my progress and I’m also going to take pictures. You don’t have to have a fancy planner or notebook. You just need a way to track your progress, so that you’ll know you’re actually making progress!

So that’s it! This is our wellness challenge and a few suggestions to get you started.

If you have a wellness goal or something you’ve been wanting to do to better yourself, please consider joining us!

Again, don’t forget to use the hashtag #SheDoesWellness

See you on The Gram!
