I trust that you are showing others love on today, because love is an action word ! Speaking of showing love, I wanted to share my Galentine’s Day table with you.
I know that technically Galentine’s Day is supposed to be before Valentine’s Day, but it doesn’t always have to be right ?!? My Galentine’s celebration will be this weekend. I plan to host a few ladies for the weekend for a girls lunch at our place and I wanted it to be really cute !!
My theme for Galentine’s is Conversation Hearts. I always love to choose themes that actually have some meaning. For instance, conversation hearts are the little candies that we used to give out in grade school to our friends. I thought that it would be a little nostalgic to take us gals back to our elementary and middle school days ! I also decided that I wanted a Kate Spade look to the party. One because its super girly, but also super chic ! Two of my favorite things !
I took some cute paper napkins that I had and made them into bows and tied them using gold glitter tape. I then used Kate Spade gift boxes and filled them with Valentine’s chocolate !
For the decor, I have some Manzanita Trees that I have used at previous events, So I knew they would be perfect to hang my conversation heart ornaments on.
I have had these ornaments for a while and I love them so much !
For the rest of the decor, I used flowers that I already had on hand. Yes these are silk !! Can you believe it ! I know they look real !! I normally don’t do silk flowers at all !! However, for this I thought it would be just fine. I’m so glad that I did barbecue, we have 2 sick kids at home and I don’t have time to make flower arrangements ! Life of a Party Stylist LOL !!
Ohhhh !! We also baked. Jordan and I. That girl has a serious gift for baking ! I like to think she gets it from her mommy ! Which is what she still calls me !
Here are a few more decor details…
So there you have it friends ! A Galentine’s Day table set for some of my favorite ladies !
Just remember that what you create doesn’t have to be perfect, but it does have to be beautiful and special for your guest.
Do you celebrate Galentine’s day? If so, what are some ways you plan to celebrate your friends?
SN: Just in case you were wondering why I didn’t do a Valentine’s post… It’s because we love on husbands all year-long and Valentine’s shouldn’t be the only day we celebrate our love for one another !! We should show love everyday !
Until next time friends, enjoy this wonderful Valentine’s Day !
