Hey Friends !

I’m here today showing you my Christmas Décor that I used to decorate our living room with. This is what I like to call Rustic Glam. I wanted to use a lot of texture and rustic charm, but at the same time shiny and glittery items. I started out with a color pallet of burlap, black and white buffalo check along with black and white gingham print and little pops of red.

 

DIY Decor

I knew that I wanted to make a lot of my décor such as some pillows, ornaments and the stockings, so I used my Silhouette Cameo for a lot of my décor. I recently did a tutorial on the monogrammed DIY stocking above the fireplace here. I will definitely have some more tutorials up here for you a little later ! I always love to do big tree toppers ! I also used my cameo to make the wood sign above the fireplace.

I made the black and white striped pillows with my Silhouette Cameo. There seems to be a recurring theme around here with the words ” Merry & Bright ” and ” Oh Deer ” so that’s what I put on our pillows. I absolutely LOVE the versatility of this machine ! I also made a pillow with the word ” Believe ” that I can sit out year round. Life is all about believing even when we’re not able to see. Maybe I’ll make a ” Faith ” pillow too ! Stay tuned !

Tree Topper

So this year I decided to do another top hat ! I also found a couple of skis for $3 at the Target One Spot ! It gets me every dang time !! You too ? Ok good. I knew I wasn’t alone !!

Ornaments

I have quiet a few different ornaments on our tree, including the monogrammed place cards I made for our Thanksgiving table. I mentioned that I would be using these as ornaments for our Christmas tree. You can find that tutorial here. 

Here are some of the other ornaments that we purchased. The super cute red deer are from Lowes Home Improvement. They also come in a creamy white, I just needed to add a little pop of red.

I found these awesome ” Merry & Bright ” burlap covered ornaments at Michael’s Arts & Craft store.

Check out the matching socks I bought for the entire family ! Marriage is all about compromising and this was the compromise to pajamas ! My hubby said he was not wearing pajamas !!! His exact words were ” absolutely not Nicole ” LOL !!!

Here is some of the rest of our living room décor.

As I mentioned before, I made the wording for this sign with my Cameo. The hubby and I went to Lowes Home Improvement and had wood cut. We then brought it home and he stained it and put it together and I supervised LOL !! I think it turned out pretty good !

I think I am pretty pleased with the way that everything came out. I am still not finished yet, but I’ll definitely keep you updated !
