Hello Friends !!

It’s Christmas time !! I’m just sitting over here singing to the top of my lungs ” IT’S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEARRRRR !!!! ”

First let me say that my Christmas decor has been up since November 1st !! I know why so early? Well because I do holiday decor for some of my clients, I used to get to my decor last. That just didn’t work for me. So I started putting my Christmas up early. One because I knew that it would take me a little bit of time to do the decorating I love to do and two, I like to have Christmas decor up for Thanksgiving.

I love Christmas soooo much !! This time of the year just gives me all the feels ! For one, its Jesus’s birthday month and I get to share it with Him ! This is my birthday month too ! How awesome is that !!

It’s also the time that I get to do what I love which is make our home extra beautiful ! Not that I don’t the rest of the year, but with Christmas just comes that extra flair !

Today I am showing you part of my Christmas decor. I decided to switch things up just a tad and go with traditional colors, but with a little twist. If you have been around for a while, then you’ll know last year, I was all about rustic glam. However, being in a new space, I wanted to switch things up just a tad.

I decided to add the colors navy blue and rose gold and let me tell you how much I love it !!

I really didn’t want to buy all new stuff, but I did buy certain things like ornaments, ribbon and stockings. Our color palette in our home is pretty neutral. I knew I wanted to stick with that for Christmas, but add pops of color in and out. I also wanted everything to feel light and airy, almost as if you were in a cabin in the mountains, but with way more glam lol !!! I chose different textures and designs such as burlap, plaids and lots of gold glitter. I also chose smooth glass ornaments and glitter glass ornaments. Not only did I choose different textures, but patterns as well. Stripes and polka dots are pretty much where I live. I’m sure you can look at any design that I’ve done and you’ll see them and I am very pleased with how everything turned out ! My hubby was pleased too, so that was a double win !! Let’s jump into the family room !!

I am pretty sure I have told you how much I love deer right ?!? Well the obsession continues ! Dasher which is what we named him is my favorite this year. I tied a pretty bow around his neck just for a little extra ! All of the items that you see here I purchased at Michael’s ! They have had some really amazing sales !

As you can see, I carried the details from the tree on over into the garland ! I just love the choice of colors. Since red is very dominant, I only wanted a little splash of that throughout. I think it turned out well !

I think Dasher wanted a closeup !!

I love to decorate Christmas trees ! I also love to put 3D elements into the tree. I purchased a brand new flocked tree this year and I love it so much ! You don’t have to do a lot to make the tree full because with the branches being flocked, it automatically makes them full ! Of course I was going to do a lot anyway LOL !! I purchased a couple of sleighs and some wooden decor to go inside the tree and I love the effect !

I decided to stick with a traditional bow topper this year. Not really sure why, that’s just what I felt like, so I went with it ! Maybe I was having all the feels being in the new house, because my style isn’t normally traditional, but I love the outcome of it !

When my children were born, we got them their first ornaments for Christmas and I still have them ! Even though the kids are 18, 14 ad 11 I still place them on the tree every year.

Here are a few other decor items. Some of them you may recognize from last year, but the chair is fairly new LOL !!

I think that pillows are my love language, if there is such a thing !! I made these pillows last year with my trusty Silhouette

This cute pillow from the Target dollar spot, I got last year. It was a little plain, so I just took some sequined trim and glammed it up !

Speaking of pillows, I added to some of my existing decor that I already had. These pillows are from last year, but don’t be surprised if you look on my Instagram and see a few new ones that you don’t see here !! You just might lol !! I’m pretty sure you will !

I also added a little garland to the TV stand, but not too much.
