Pimp My School Supplies!

Hey Friends & Happy Monday!

Well this morning we shipped our kids off to school!

I can’t believe that we have a senior, an 8th & 5th grader! They were just babies! Where did the time go?!?

Now that I am over my emotional rant, I wanted to share the girls very impromptu #PimpMySchoolSupplies craft get-together.

 Pimp My School Supplies

Jasmine ( The 8th Grader ) asked could she invite her bestie over and along with her little sister Jordan , decorate their school supplies? Of course I said yes! I then asked well when would you like to do it? She said “Oh Today”! What?!? So now you know what I mean by impromptu!!

All in all the girls enjoyed themselves, which is all what it’s about anyway! I’m so grateful that our children are very creative, even my son! They all cook, Jasmine & Jordan bake really good things and they all have great ideas! They aren’t perfect… no kid is, but they’re good kids and we’re blessed to have to have them!

So back to the party!

The girls decided to raid my paper, chalk pens and whatever they could find! I must say they did pretty good and they had absolutely NO HELP FROM ME!

I thought they did pretty well!

The girls painted their composition books with Martha Stewart Chalk Paint and lined some of them with glitter tape & scrapbook paper from Michael’s. The girls also used corkboard to decorate with as well. They also did washi tape pencils, but momma didn’t snap a picture! I know just crazy!

They’ve already started working on a few more DIY’s. When they are complete, I plan on showing you how they look.

I’ll be back on this week giving you a few tips on how to organize your kids and yourself for the school year because you still have time!

Don’t forget to let me see how you and your kids decorate your school supplies on Instagram! Use the hashtag #PimpMySchoolSupplies to show me your work. You have until September 5th and the winner will be announced on September 10th!

Talk with you soon!
