Happy Saturday !

We are at the end of February “the month of love” that went by very quickly ! If you follow me on Instagram, I shared a few of the photos from Mr. Does a Bunch ( Jonathan ) & I’s photo session that we had. One thing I encourage all married couples to do is have fun together ! I stated in a previous post how much I loved & adored my husband. We have so much fun together and we laugh a lot !

We laughed so hard throughout this photo shoot, that even our photographer was in tears laughing by the time it was over. We celebrated 13 years of marriage back in November. Have all the years been easy? HECK NO !! However, the good days always outweigh the bad. If you both have a determination early in marriage that divorce IS NOT an option, be sure to revisit that when times get rough and definitely pray with each other this is key !

The one thing I can say about my husband is that, he loves me for who I am ! He doesn’t try to change me or make me fit into some mold of what he thinks I should be. He encourages me in every single thing that I’ve decided to undertake. He also will check me really quickly, especially when I tend to put a ton of demands on myself. He really hates when I do that. He pushes me towards my goals both spiritually and naturally. I did tell you I was a preachers wife right ?!? That is a whole different post, we’ll discuss that later !

Maybe that should be a whole series ha ?!! I’m kinda kidding !!

I’m not saying any of this stuff to make it seem as though we’re perfect. Quite the opposite, we’re not… no marriage is but we are perfect for each other, just like you and your spouse ! Sometimes as wives we tend to focus on the negative qualities in our husbands instead of seeing all the great qualities they possess. I have been guilty of doing this too. Whether you’re married, engaged, or looking to eventually be married, lets make a declaration today. Let’s declare that we will see the good in our hubbies and pray about the things that we don’t like. Lets speak life into our marriages and homes. After all death and life are in the power of our tongues ( Proverbs 18:21 ). So let’s be wise women and build our houses up on good and positive things & that includes our husbands too !
