Merry Christmas and Happy Thursday Friends!!

I’m so excited to finally show you my Christmas decor for this year!

A She Does a Bunch Christmas

For the last 2 years, I’ve used red in my Christmas decor. You can see those post from 2015 and 2016.

This year, I knew I wanted to kinda leave the red behind for the main family room tree. I’m so happy with how it turned out. I decided a while back I wanted a Kate Spade theme, but one that was a little more gender neutral (you know, for the hubs lol). I decided to settle on different shades of gold, black and white, a little hint of Navy and Cobalt blue and a bit of glitter!! I’ll elaborate.

The Tree

So I always go a little overboard on the tree. You guys have been here for a few years, you know how I do lol!! I absolutely love our flocked tree I picked up from Michael’s last year. I started out by strategically placing ribbon around the tree, then I added extra greenery and floral. I love taking rustic elements and adding sparkly or non traditional elements to them.

Another thing I LOVE to add to my trees are 3-D objects. They add so much dimension and they are also gorgeous!! In keeping with the Kate Spade theme, polka dots and stripes were a must! I used 3-D styrofoam gift boxes to give me that extra I was looking for. As for rest, I added bows, mini canvas prints, and glass balls. Love it!!!

The Mantel

I carried over the theme into our mantel. Using the same plaid ribbon from the tree and Gold, cream and blue glass balls. This year I added some super blingy Christmas tree cones I found at Michael’s.

They have the perfect amount of pearls and glitter that fits great with our colors and theme. I added a few twinkle lights to the mantel Garland. A few candles on mini pedestals and cake plates for height and some gold reindeer and our mantel garland is complete!! Love it too!

The Coffee Table & Sofa

I’m not the kind of decorator that likes to move things when I’m decorating for the holidays, so I don’t lol. I used my absolute favorite glass candle holders. I have them all over the house! To the candle holders, I added a some “snow” and some mini glass ornaments in my colors, placed some leftover Christmas balls around them and there you go, instant and super easy coffee table arrangement. For the sofa’s, I added a few Christmas pillows to go along with my everyday pillows.

What do you think? I know that holiday decorating stresses some folks out and they just hate doing it, or don’t do it at all. That’s not my story, I love decorating for aLmost EVERYTHING !!! I live for simplicity as well, but the holidays especially Christmas’s are my absolute fave, so that means I go out!!

So what about you? Do you decorate for the holidays? If so, are you finished and what was your theme this year?

Until next time, be sure to stay tuned on Instagram for a tour in my stories

Happy Decorating and Merry Christmas!!
